Vocal music, better known as just "songs" nowadays, has been in the tradition of all civilisations, since it only requires an able person with a mouth. At first, songs were passed on from one generation to another through memory and were never recorded, meaning the songs would generally change form and adapt according to each performer's style or personality. However, the beginning of formalised sheet music and even audio recorders has made it possible for people across the world to have access to popular songs and the ability to learn them as well. Vocal music has always been popular since ancient humans began creating noises in a particular way that made it sound good, and it's still going strong, whether it's presented in a giant concert with thousands of people or for passionate individuals on the internet.
